Look out for Scherff and Donnal, these two are both big and athletic. Does anyone have an educated take on Marcus Coker? Will he really be a legit-Big10 power tailback? Ive seen limited film and he looks big and fast, but its just so hard to tell.

Would be sweet. Everybody wants a chance to line up against ND. We would benefit from them and they from us.

If they would add another team (which I hope they don't) Ohio Dtate wouldn't be in the same division a Michigan because this at the two teams the BigTen wants to see play in the championship game.

Watched my first UNI game yesterday. I was so impressed! Will Iowa ever get to that level again, where you have a creative and tenancious coach and players that reflect that attitude? I know we can't go to the final four every year, but we are years away from even making the NIT, let alone the NCAA tournament. I just don't understand why changes can't be made. Its not Coach Lickliters fault, he is just overmatched in the Big Ten. We need a coach like Bruce Pearl who knows how to recruit and coach in a league like ours.

I don't see this as a mixed bag.

The wrestlers underperformed (by our and their standards), the women's bb team gave up a 16 pt lead to lose in the Championship game, and the men's bb team were humiliated. I say it was a pretty sub-par day to say the least.

At least UNI helped out the state of Iowa.

Wow, after the minnesota game, I think I will retire from sharing any opinion on hawk hoops!

Overmatched on so many levels, and of all teams to suffer our worse loss, Minnesota!

I am going to hibernate for the next 8 months and hope, hope, hope for next year.

Loved them both, but Stanzi to McNutt was a result of disciplined, planned, coordinated, in your face for the victory effort. Tate called the LSU play on the field, and it worked out.

Ok the kids are young and not at fault but come on,,Steve Alford is going to be coach of the year, not saying we take him back, but lets face it we need a coach who brings an entertaining style of play and players that will make us competitive again. I mean if we couldn't tolerate Alford, how can we keep the same coach we have now???

Okay -- that was my first post, ever, and certainly pertentious. (for instance my chosen name).

Like everyone, I am certainly frustrated, and I lash out when I hurt......

That being said, I was struck that Sunday that these are kids, 18-21?, and they are students first--they recognized them at half--the best part of the day--many, many 4 year all-Americans.

I disagree they are disinterested, but we can differ on perspective -- but I do feel many hawk fans need to be reminded of who and what we are cheering for, overmatched freshmen and sophmores -- who were blown out many times yes, but also put up some pretty good fights!! Those are who I am cheering for. (not louder then you or jon-I am sure)

dear onetruehawkfan,
the truth is the truth...we work hard..most of the time...to me they have looked bored out there a lot of the time late in the year. We are really bad, that is the truth. We may not get as many wins as our football team. You have to be blind not to see they look uninspired on the court at times. You are lucky you took your son to the Indiana game, he got to see them play the best they have all year. Bottom line, we are really bad, no one is hopping off the bandwagon..just stating the truth and their opinion. Jon, most of us know you are always on the bandwagon, but its people like this guy that think they are a better fan because they cheer louder that really get to me...
