It appears the Iowa Hawkeyes have added a linebacker commit to their 2011 recruiting class. Iowa assistant coach Eric Johnson tweeted on Saturday night that the Hawkeyes had added a new member to their class.
According to Iowa commit Marcus Grant’s twitter page, it’s Mike Orloff, from Lawrence Academy in Massachusetts. Grant also hails from Lawrence Academy, and he was the first commit in Iowa’s Class of 2011, a wide receiver.
Here is a link to Orloff’s measurables and offers, from Rivals.com. Orloff is an excellent athlete, also serving as the quarterback for his team. He played safety last year as well. Here is an article from late November 2009 that quotes Orloff.
UPDATE: Rob Howe has an interview with Orloff that you can read here.
