Iowa picked up a commitment from West Des Moines Dowling tight end Jon Wisnieski on Thursday according to Rob Howe:
Per Dowling Catholic Coach Tom Wilson, ’13 TE @Jon_Wisnieski committed to #Iowa today. #Hawkeyes

Rivals.com rates Wisnieski as a three-star prospect, as does Scout.com
He held offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, NIU, Purdue and others at the time of his commitment. He is 6-5/215 with the frame to bulk up to 250-pounds.
Wisnieski is believed to be the 16th verbal commitment in Iowa’s Class of 2013. Most expect Iowa to sign a class of around 20 players come the first Wednesday in February. However, this number may be 19, as Howe posted in this twitter blurb:
#Iowa told Wisnieski’s coach Tom Wilson it had 4 schollies left for ’13 class. Now, with 16 known verbals, there are 3. #Hawkeyes
