Iowa Lands OL Commit

Iowa Lands OL Commit

According to Rivals, Iowa has landed Jordan Walsh, an offensive linemen from Illinois that has a LOAD of offers.

Here is a partial list of schools that offered Walsh: Nebraska, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, USC & Wisconsin. Check out the link above to get a look at all of them.

You hate to get too excited, outside of just being happy that the Hawkeyes have added a new member to the family, but I always pay more attention to the offers kids have from other schools. This kid has that in spades.

He’s also an ‘Iowa kid’, meaning the kind of kids Iowa has done well with. Kids that are not pomp and circumstance. This class is full of those, as was last year’s and the year before that.

Iowa has things rolling along right now as good as it has in the Ferentz era, and arguably, in my lifetime.

Agreed Jon. Seems like the Hawks are getting more high quality commits than ever before. I like the idea of keeping this thing rolling! GO HAWKS!

The encouraging thing for me is the fact that Iowa has landed a few very good offensive lineman as well as a couple very good tight ends in each the last several years. Although the line may be somewhat green this coming season, they are poised to be very solid in the future and we all know how important the TE is in Iowa’s offense. It’s a great time to be a Hawk!
