Next year will be a different team as far as schemes go.. 1. You have a very solid rushing game with Jewell coming back, so that will open Stanzi the Manzi open for play action, with the best WR duo in the Big Ten if not the nation. I'm not concerned about the LB's or CB... We have plenty of depth at both, as long as we stay health... OL is stated to be a concern...... This is Corn Country, We shit All American O-Lineman... I'm not concerend one bit.... Let's talk more about this Big Ten Opening Week.

We won too many games by a very thin margin last year. I'm a big fan but don't have blind faith. After week three it will be a tough task each week. Purdue, Indian, NW, MS, any of these team could bit us in the arse.

I don't know for sure if we could beat 'Bama or not next year. I really do think that we could have this year, however. We could have put Spievey on Julio Jones, and with the front seven we had this year, we could have greatly slowed down the Tide's rushing attack (I don't care if was the Iron Bowl or not, but if Auburn's weak, undisciplined defense can hold Ingram to 30 yards, then so could we).

I sincerely hope that both we and OSU are undefeated when we play next November. As a current student at Iowa, a win would put me in the stadium for two of the biggest victories in Hawkeye history (last year's PSU game being the other).

Undefeated or no, it's still a good matchup to look forward to. When is the last time the Orange Bowl Champion and Rose Bowl Champion have locked up in the regular season? Now if both teams were unbeaten, what a scene that would be...

I don't think IA will have the horses to compete with Alabama, they are loaded. On the national scene, I am excited to see how the buckeyes look, I know they will return about great skill players, their defense is always fast and physical(rose bowl) and they will be solid. Speaking of the Rose Bowl, I know a lot can change in a year, however I don't see Oregon banging with Iowa for four quarters, then or now. The talent from the Big 12 south will produce a top 5 team, as will the Florida Gators, plus plenty of other deep SEC teams. The hawks are definately in the talk of national powers, but I'm not sure about the title.

Ok, here is what I do not understand. You make you "pre-pre-season" Top 25 guessing who will be at the top of the list at the end of the year right? So if he has Alabama #1, OSU #2, Oregon #3 and Iowa #4 then why would he have Alabama-Iowa in the title game? If he thought AL-IA would be the title game then shouldn't Iowa be ranked #2 in his poll? My way of thinking leads me to believe he has OSU ranked #2 because he believes they are a better team than Iowa (#4) and therefore would beat Iowa. If so, then his title game should be AL-OSU.
