this team
no matter the result of this game, i like the direction they are going. even though they played poorly there was no quit in this team, the missed FT's, open looks and missed bunnies, this is a tream to be excited about, and is definetly worth watching in person there is absolutly no reason for people to wait til next year to watch them
for some reason i feel they will win more than they lose
it is the fair weather fans we don't need

This was the first real game...the other 3 were absolute garbage. This was a bad first team to play cause they're damn good.
Not that we shouldn't have played better cause we certainly should have. Anyone with a brain knows that we don't have the ammo to do what we want to do this year. We just need to see improvement so we can start to be competitive and hopefully knock off a few people.

HANK: Oh. Oh, yeah, I hate soccer. Yes.

Re: this team
i have a couple things to say. this was my first game of the season attending this was not the same team everyone has been talking about on here, my idea of up tempo is get the ball and go it seemed like we were trying to run the shot clock down. my second thing was holy cow can we make free throws? this is a hugh area of concern for me free throws are key if anyone has the exact amount of free throws missed id like to hear it im betting any where from 8-13 missed. D-fence? wth? we gave up how many wide open 3's we needed to change something here and key mccdermott he ran all over us. Basabe was depressing to watch too, he acts like he is big time in warm ups wearing a different warm up constantly getting an oop thrown instead of laying it up then he gets pwned in the game? CMON MAN!!! last year i was at the minnesota game and it seems like gatens has improved from last year i love him sad he is a senior. was not as impressed with may today as i was last year either. and rebounding and close shots, Lay-ups white had how many missed lay-ups go up and throw that baby down, then i felt like we could not rebound to save our lives, #00 and #3 were killing our posts and its not like they were better than us. overall Creighton shot lights out and the Hawkeyes DID NOT!!!! oh well lets bring on some more crap teams and get more W's at least boost confidence. Also i loved what i saw from Marble and Oglesby!!!!! I can't wait to watch next years team!

Re: this team
We do not have the ammo to compete with the best of the best, but we do have a much better team than the team that showed up today. Today we did not have anyone that was hitting on all cylinders and to be competitive, this team needs to have several players competing at a high level.
I also think having Bryce under the weather set the tone for this game. He is the floor general for the team and while he hit some nice shots, he was not playing anywhere close to 100%.
I also said it in another post, but Basabe's play has me totally perplexed. I know he has it in him to play at a much higher level (He showed that against Ohio State last year and others), but has not shown it this year.
Even so, this was a team loss and I have no doubt that Fran will be emphasizing that fact a whole lot in the next few days. I also know that there are going to be more good games from this bunch than bad this year.

Nebraska, thank you for using proper punctuation and most importantly hitting the enter key to break up you're posts. Much easier read.
Secondly, I agree with all that you said.

Completely disagree. The one knock I have on Fran's team is that they don't always hustle on defense. They gave up when they were down by 10. I know the year is young and I support what they (team and staff) are doing, but in every game this year they've been lazy and sloppy.

Re: this team
Balloon of optimism burst today. Not because we lost, I expected that, but we got freaking dominated. Wait til we get to the big ten season....more of what we saw last season. Suffer through this season until we get more athletic bodies in next year. We just can't compete with quick, athletic teams, period.
