Adam was at the game. He took a minute to talk to me. I shook his hand and explained how excited I was for next year. His eyes lit up and with a big grin told me he too was very excited and can't wait to get going. He's a really stand up guy. Seems like an excellent kid.

Said on the tv today you know since i live 3 1/2 hours from iowa city that he would have the starting Center position from day 1 and he will make Mel better cause he will be able to go up against guys similar in size like last year when Cole took on all the big boys! GO HAWKS Woody and Gesell=FUTURE!!!!!!

I think we need to throw Aaron White into that statement too, cause the way he's playing I don't think I trade him for either one.

I am hoping that this is a rude awakening for Mel and he really dedicates himself in the off-season to develop a jumper and at least one post move.

Remeber how effective Mel was with another player occupying real space and being something of a scoring threat. Also, I think Mel has been hurt a lot by Bryce's struggles. Mel cannot create his own shot at this point and McCabe can.

If he does that then he will start, if not then McCabe has done everything to earn the job at the 4.
