Comparing 2012 to 2010: Green is Good, Red is Bad

Yes, the eye test shows that this year team is significantly better than the last squad fielded by Todd Lickliter.

Check out the current tempo free stats from this year vs. 2010.
In case you don't use KenPom - green = good, red = bad.
The darker the shade the better/worse.

Wow, the improvement is amazing, the 3 point percentage really surprised me.

You do not need stats to justify this team being better than Licks teams, just watch the game. If you forget how bad those Lick teams were dig up one of those videos and watch it. The throw the ball around for 30 seconds until you turn it over or throw up a prayer days are gone.

We clearly need to work on our FT defense...

Yeah its pitiful we seem to always leave them open when they are on the line. Its like they are just standing there and watching.

The least they could do is block out their guy when they try to slap hands after the first FT attempt.

What did Miami do to get Duke to miss all those free throws in OT? Whatever they did we should do the same thing. Maybe it was the way they stood at the line, perhaps put more weight on one side then the other?
