Just stop... zeller and burke are better than white and thats ok.

One big advantage for Fran is that he will have guys like White, Marble and McCabe for four years while Ohio State will only have its stars for one or two. That is a great equalizer for the developmental programs.

Zeller has B1G freshy of the year in the bag i think if white finishes strong he will make an All-Freshman team!

Sullinger will likely go pro but the rest of the team seems to be four year guys.

If you had watched Burke play in HS, you would wonder why he wasn't a top 25 - 50 recruit, it isn't his fault he was overshadowed by Sullinger.

White is a player that a lot of people in Ohio knew was for real, yeah he missed out on some of the evaluation periods, but that is only rankings.

Here is the thing Herby, I love Aaron White as much as every other Hawkeye fan, but Zeller and Burke have outperformed him. That is not a knock on White, Iowa is lucky to have him and that Fran got him when he did.

Bottom line is there are four excellent freshman in the conference this season, throw in Sobolewski (who had Iowa in his top choices) and you have some players.
Why do you even respond to him?

That's what I've been saying, now that we have the surrounding players coming in I wouldn't trade AW for anyone.

Re: White and Freshman of the Year?

Remember how people were saying the same thing about Gatens at this point in his freshman season but they gave it to some Buckeye.

Then came DJ Richardson to steal it from May.

Then somehow they gave it to Sullinger over Mel.

It is all a conspiracy.

Re: White and Freshman of the Year?

Buford came on strong and won it over Gatens and Buford earned it.

OSU went for Shannon Scott at pg this year, a much higher rated pg than Burke,so I do not think OSU ever recruited him.

I have Zeller and Burke very close for FOY. It will come down to which team finishes ahead of the other. Burke has been tremendous, probably Michigan's best, most consistent player all season. Zeller has done that also for IU. I think it really should be co-FOY between the two of them.
