As for shrugging off his celebrity, the gentle giant known affectionately as "Woody'' has no problems, whatsoever. Not even after spending last Saturday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, signing autographs and posing for photos with fans that can't wait to see him in black and gold.
"I've got plenty of people around me to keep me humble,'' said the honor student with a GPA between 3.8 and 3.9. "I think I've got enough self-motivation to not get too big-headed. I've got a lot of room to improve in every aspect of my game and I try to improve every day and help my team.''
