There will be a day when Gesell is spelled correctly.

It was an awesome game, pitting the 'burb boys against the city kids. With only seconds remaining, DGS masterfully works a play for an easy layup...which Cross proceeds to goal-tend. No call. Manley wins by one. And went on to win it all.
WE WUZ ROBBED. It was in all the newspapers the next day, including pictures clearly showing le goal tend. I have always hated russell cross.

Minor trivia: the star guard on DGS was a kid named Dan Pelekoudas, who earned a scholly to Michigan and saw some meaningful game time until Antoine "The Judge" Joubert showed up a year or two later.
Moar trivia: the team Manley defeated in the championship, Effingham, included on it's roster a big ugly feller named Uwe Blab. Perhaps you remember him, too.

Right team, wrong guy: GR3 will be FOY and will contend for POY, although it is already been given to Zeller and it was very debatable that he was the co-freshman last season...the hype-machine will be in full force for Zeller and the Hoosiers.

UM's offense is perfect for his game, he is better than Hardaway already as he can actually dribble. I have been extremely impressed with the little bit I have seen of him. I think he will be in the same mold of his father, but not as good a rebounder, but he will be able score all over the floor.
