If I was Penn State Fan

I would say enough is enough. Joe Pa needs to go. For all the rest of us Big Ten fans please stay.. Penn State is a terrible team..

Also they could just hire a coach in waiting and let him hang around and still feel important

Isn't that what he has been doing? I was under the impression that he really doesn't make any big coaching decisions and that is kept around for show/recruiting, but that is just what I heard so I am curious as to how much he is really running the show.

Yes he is more or less a motivational figure the other coaches run practices and recruiting. The team really is just that bad.
