The whole thing is just unbelievable.

If I were the Board of Trustees, I would fire the coach, shut down the season, not play the games, and start a full scale investigation. It almost seems like the poor children who were victims aren't even part of the story.

I'm wondering if another school would handle it differently. What a tragic mess.

The problem is everyone, including the board of trustees, are all emotionally attached to Paterno. The man has been at Penn State for 40 years, this is someone who has iconic status in the state of Pennsylvania. It is almost to the point where the Federal Government needs to step in as I am not sure if there is anyone in Pennsylvania who can stand up and clean house the way it needs to get done.

I wish someone moderating this board would condense everything either to one or two threads or cram it on the Big 10 board.

Why every guy here feels the need to start a new thread repeating the same thoughts in 12 other threads is beyond me. This forum is unreadable, and has been for the last 72 hours.

I don't think it should dominate the Hawkeye football board though. We have a separate board for general football and Big 10 football, so I wish it went there so we could talk about MSU.

But my real beef is with the guy who decides whatever he has to say is so important that he needs to open a fresh thread on it. Oh yeah, there are 3 dozen of those guys, and none of their thoughts deserve a separate thread.
