Not bad except for the part where he gives him a pass for taking off. I just don't understand this line of thinking by anyone. Here is my question for those that think that. What if A. McQueary didn't know the guy doing this to the little boy and what if B. He did know that kid that he was doing it to. Would he have acted differently? The answer is absolutely yes in both cases. He did nothing because he was a coward. GTFO.

I have no problem with the fight or flight argument because the truth is you don't know what you would do in a fight or flight situation. But, when someone does have an experience that results in a subconscious decision of fight or flight, you are given a rare opportunity to find out what kind of a person you really are. In McQueary's case, he has been proven a coward. And as such, he does not deserve the opportunity to be a leader of youth.

exactly right. I wonder if I would have fight or flight going through my head or more likely a puke or fight process. I can't imagine seeing that. I think I would get sick.

What I am not ok with is that for the next 9 years, he saw Sandusky on campus and acted as though everything was just fine.

The fact that he didn't quit says all you need to know about this guy. He was only concerned about himself and his career.

Good explanation for why he is still coaching on ESPN radio tonight. The board of directors must legally post an agenda of what they will be addressing at their meeting one week in advance.
Too late to put mcqeary on the agenda. They can meet in a week however and can him. Which is what I expect to happen. Gutless wonder.

That doesn't explain at all why he wasn't fired with Paterno last night.

Not only that, but either the Board or Bradley said McQueary's fate would be up to the acting AD, so they've already passed the buck (sounds familiar, doesn't it?).

That whole staff will be gone in a few weeks anyway. But I would be surprised if McQueary ever graces the PSU sideline again...would not be well-received at OSU and Wisky,and he sticks out like a sore thumb.

The real question is why the hell would McQuery want to stay so badly? Does he think he's going to be given the head job next year? I would be looking for a job in FCS, DII, or some other division where I can get away from this mess and still have a decent job in football.

I'm guessing he didn't intervene, because he had heard the whispers about Sandusky. So he sees it going on, and shakes him to the core, so he goes to his dad, and then goes to Joe Pa. When nothing in essence is done, he understands the game at this point. You keep your head down, and your mouth shut, and you will be coaching as long as you want at Penn St.

It is all so disgusting, and wrong. How he could ignore this for 9 years is beyond comprehension. So many people not willing to stand up and do the right thing from McQueary to Joe Pa, to Curley, and Schultz. They all knew what happened in 1998, and then again in 2002, and they decided to ignore it, and continue to let a monster do what a monster does. If I were one of the victims parents, I would be gunning to ruin these peoples lives, just as Sandusky ruined my child's life. This means taking down Sandusky himself, and all those that enabled him to continue raping children since 1998.

My only wish is this were the wild west, and it could be handled like this......

I just had a thought and I can't understand how they are going to even let this interim coach coach this game. The more I think about, the more I think they should not be playing Saturday or the rest of the year. There shouldn't be a coaching staff to coach right now.
