I’ve posted a limited amount since Saturday and have more or less taken in the thoughts and feelings of the fan base over the loss the Wisconsin. I have come to some conclusions posted below:

- Ricky Stanzi is a damn good quarterback and anyone placing blame at his feet or calling him out for his loss are flat out ignorant at best. He was 25/37 with 3 TDs and 0 INT’s. Did he miss a couple throws? You bet and he’d be the first to tell you that. Did he make mistakes? Sure. But I challenge...

Today is a new week in Iowa City. The stands on Melrose have been taken down, the fans from out of town have gone home and the parking lots have cleared of the faithful who bleed black and gold.
To some, there is still a sting in the air of the loss our Hawkeyes suffered just a few days ago. To others there is still hope of another win in Iowa City this weekend to clear the air.

It all comes down to, There is still a Big Ten Championship on the line.

The Hawkeyes are #15 in the initial 2010 BCS standings. Is that good news or bad news? Both. The lowest any school that played for the title has been in the initial BCS standings was #12 (LSU). However, Iowa is only nine hundredths of a point out of #10, so it's worth taking a look at least.

Note: everything below is predicated on the Hawkeyes winning-out, finishing 11-1 (8-0)

It is still not outside the realm of possibility for Iowa to get into the National Championship game, so I thought I would logically lay out my thoughts on how it might happen.
