This past week's first installment of the BCS rankings certainly got people, namely Iowa fans, talking. Being put behind two teams with lesser resumes (Boise St and Cincinnati) doesn't sit well with Hawkeye fans, nor should it.

Judging by these inaugural standings for 2009, the Hawkeyes need to make up some ground in the minds of the voters, as it is there where the biggest travesty is taking place. The Harris poll has the Hawkeyes 7th, behind 1-loss USC, Boise St, and Cincinnati....

Dudes get into fights. It is just something that happens. Your momma is fat and ugly, and she has sex wil EVERYONE, and you know guys are going to give you crap about it. That leaves you little choice, you have to fight them. Using this non-sequiter intro, I will now brilliantly segway it into my topic for today.

As many have noticed, the national media has been pretty slow to hop on the Iowa bandwagon. The fact that it has been a pretty bumpy ride should make that pretty obvious. However, many of my fellow Hawk fans have got quite the chip on their shoulder when it comes to getting "love" and "respect" from the national media. Well my amigos, I have four little words that should cure all of your accued media angst; Who the hell cares?!?

Indiana @ Northwestern - 11 AM, BTN

Here you have two spread offenses and two subpar defenses, so this game could be fun to watch. Indiana WR Tandon Doss has been a bright spot this year for the Hoosiers and QB Ben Chappell had quite the game (but then again, who doesn't) last week against the woeful Illini. Northwestern QB Mike Kafka is a gifted athlete and has been known to have breakout games through the air and on the ground. Both these teams need this win to become one win shy...
