As we all know coach Kirk Ferentz does not always like to go after the top prospects in the country. I think we have the best coach in country for a lot of reasons, but the reason that sticks out to me the most is that he consistently wins games, but rarely do we see a top 25 recurring class.
When Kirk recruits players I think he is looking more for hard work and dedication than anything. You look at Pat Angerer for example, he was a no name football player, farm kid out of Bettendorf...
