Love It or Leave It: A Motto to Live By

Ricky Stanzi put it best a solid 8 months ago after a glorious victory against Georgia Tech in a BCS Bowl. "Love it or leave it!" This is something that Hawkeye fans seemed to love at the time but seem to have forgotten to apply it to the 2010 Iowa Football Team.
The Hawkeyes are now three games in. They have two wins with one heartbreaking loss. This loss has created a bio-dome effect around Hawkeye Nation and has made it so they forget to either love it or leave it. Do you want to blame it on the coaches for any sort of reason? Already been done. How about the special teams? Heard it a hundred times. The offensive line did look very skeptical right? Oh there's a new one. Wait, maybe we need to blame Ricky Stanzi for his interception and for taking the sacks? I don't think so. Step back from the blame game here folks. Iowa lost to a good football team and there is no way around it.
Iowa fans, look inside to the advice of your fearless leader. Love it or leave it! This is your 2010 Iowa Hawkeye football team. Are they a great football team? Yes I still think so. They will still compete with the elite teams in our conference and do still have a great chance at the Grand Daddy of Them All. In short, realize how the expectations of where the Hawkeyes end up at the end of the year have not changed. You either have to love this team for who they are because it is not going to change or leave it and don't come back explaining how you love the Iowa Hawkeyes as they are beating Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Does 2002 ring a bell? What kind of bowl did we end up in that year? I for one, love it and you should too.
