It is a couple years old on HBO, documentary about breaking the color barrier in college football. Has a good chunk about Fry at SMU. I recommend it for those that haven't seen it. It is on HBO on demand.

I just finished his autobiography A High Porch Picnic. You can pick it up for ~$5 on half.com. This was the most insightful book i've read in recent memory and I highly recommend it. He spends a couple chapters on this topic.
Also, he breaks down each of his seasons at Iowa in to their own chapter. It's a wonderful read for us young bucks that want a nice summary of those two decades of Iowa football.
Pretty incredible man.
