I'm pretty sure the sponsorship is on an annual basis. I agree though; it seems like they would have at least put a "temporary" plaque on it for the current sponsor.

Agree. I've solved the Iowa Corn trophy. Install 2 identical bronze cast corn stalks outside of Kinnick and Jack Trice. Create a trophy the houses a large bronze ear of corn where it can rest during the game and after for celebrations. Make it as commercial as you want, I don't care. After the game, the winning team will place the ear of corn at the top for their bronze corn stalk for the year, thus displaying the win outside the stadium. two traveling trophies in one, pretty legit if you ask me.

That's pretty much my thought as well.

I just wish they could've come up with something iconic to go along with the best of the Big Ten trophies, like Floyd of Rosedale, the Little Brown Jug, etc. It seems like nobody is interesting in coming up with trophies like that any more.
