Love Murph and Andy. Wish they would expand to 3-4 hours.

Murph and Andy are far better than anything we have now (after the end of another Miller and Deace). Tim Fisher in the morning is by far the worst talk show host in DSM, and as an added bonus he is a morbidly obese liberal.

The fact that Murphy says he is objective is exactly my point. He's not. He is a cyclown. Why doesn't he just admit it. His wife is an ISU grad. He is too afraid of her to say anything bad about them. Also, he is just following Deace and Terrell's formula of trying to p*ss of Iowa's fan every chance he gets. Every time anything bad happens concerning Iowa football, he goes off on the Rhabdo thing. Like Ferentz would let his own kids do something that was going to hurt them. What a moron.

I think Vint and I should have a show. we could talk about religion and beer..which is pretty much the same subject. We could crack beers open and talk about sports what it is we are drinking and then crack into the summa for some philo/religion smack down.

I would much rather listen to Andy with Chris Hassel, who is actually pretty funny.

Overall I don't understand the show being on a sports station because they really don't know much about sports. They talk about Iowa and ISU and probably %80 of the listening audience knows more about the topics than they do.

Even during the peak of the college football season they still have segments with a guy talking about movies and one where they talk to some women about clothes and hair. It really baffles me.

They just don't seem to know or really care much about sports and they seem to go out of their way to not offer opinions, which is really the opposite of what you should be doing on a sports show.
Chris Hassel should have his own show, either in the morning replacing tNt or in the spot vacated by JM and Deace.

Couldnt agree more. I enjoy their show, but turn it off whenever she is on. So full of herself...full of sh*t....She is their one bad decision as far as full time guests.

I don't love or hate Murph and Andy, but I'm not in the car from 2-4 so I don't listen anyway. As someone said, anything is better than Travis and Tim or Cotler.

I lost interest a long time ago. The show has never been the same without a Biiiiiiiiig assist from the Round Guy. The tv show I mean. I have never listened to the radio show.

Re: Murph and Andy - Please Go Away

Murph and Andy aren't bad. There are definitely worse things you could listen to. Like every other sports show on KXNO now that JD and Deace are done. I tuned in to TNT the Monday after Thanksgiving around 7:15 expecting some Hawk/Husker re-cap or BCS talk and all I got was Kansas and Turner Gill talk for the last 45 minutes. Are you freaking kidding me? These guys, along with Brinson, need to do some research on what topics we, in Central Iowa, DO NOT want to listen to. KU and Turner Gill would be near the top of the list. It was the final straw for them and I'm now back with Mike n Mike. We really need a good local morning show.

Her segment makes me violently angry.

I love Hassell. That dude is crazy...in a humorous way.

TNT might be the worst thing I've ever heard on radio. I've never listened to Cotlar though.

Chris Hassell is to sports and humor what Chris Hanson is To Catching Predators.

I strongly recommend keeping it that way.

Re: Murph and Andy - Please Go Away

I like Murph and Andy I think they do a great job. Their show is a nice break from the norm and does have a different take on what sports radio is all about.

Seems like most listeners want Hawk/Clone talk 24/7, but there are other demographics to think of when trying to get revenue. I think they are bringing a new listening audience to the station.

To me Ask Tana I take with a grain of salt. I think some of the advice she give out to women is good info. I don't have such a discussed reaction to her as most have on this board. Also The movie reviews are good, and like how they tie sports into it. I have found a couple new sports related movies to watch.

I do agree that Chris needs to have his own show! Would love to see him in the slot in the AM or after Murph and Andy. Then again will Chris do an all sports show? I don't know but would love to hear what he could put together.
