Tyler Sash
Anyone see the cheap shot that ended up with Sash being shaken up for a minute or so covering the punt return late in last night's NFC championship game? It appears he got pushed hard in the back, sending him flying just as the SF returner was heading out of bounds. Was surprised that was not a personal foul or at the very least a block in the back.
Guess he hasn't earned respect from the stripes yet. If that had been Eli Manning or Alex Smith the response might have been different.

All refs baby QBs. Some more than others but they all get their golden pacifier.

Really? You are wondering why a ST scrub isn't getting the same love from the refs as a QB? Are you new to football?

Re: Tyler Sash
Why is Eli or any QB on the punt team?

Why do you insist on comparing apples to apples?

According to the Giants, Sash got concussed on the hit, although the Giants coach is saying he's not concerned about it as they prepare for the Super Bowl.

I hadn't read anywhere that the hit Sash put on Williams was actually questionable. I know players said after the game that they were targeting Williams, but I don't recall anyone saying Sash's hit may have been dirty. Could very well be that Sash put a clean lick on him, and it just made him "woozy".

Re: Tyler Sash
No doubt this is a dirty play. Maybe not illegal, but was Warren Sapp's hit on Clifton Illegal? You can bet the dude's number was put into the memmory bank of TS teamates, thats just how it works. There will be a time when that dude gets whats comin to him. On the other hand Sash needs to put his head on a swivel or this won't be the last time it happens. With the pressures the NFL brings you better be hitting someone on special teams or they will find someone who will, unfortunately part of the game untill they dso throw flags for it.

I don't really consider that hit to be dirty. Was it a cheap shot? Sure. But it wasn't dirty. Those don't necessarily mean the same thing.

Yes, poor choice of words. I would like to ask the court to please strike questionable from the record.

Re: Tyler Sash
Would be interested in getting the opinion of football referees on HN on the clip above. In real time it appeared the SF player, Dobbs, got Sash in the back. From this view, it looks more like a hard hit from the shoulder, the side. OK, from that standpoint it might be legal.
But in the context of the play, could that be a personal foul for unnecessary roughness? The SF returner was either out of bounds or within inches of being out of bounds at that point, and neither Dobbs nor Sash was going to be involved in the play. IDK the interpretation of football rules.
