Well he will have to preform at a high level to make it back to a BCS school. I don't know if it's worth the risk.
i'd bet he has his eyes pointed towards Manhattan. Family relationship of some sorts, i'd guess, and an offense that can use a tebow-type QB. i'm sure it is no coincidence that he ended up at this juco.
I hope AJ does well and gets his shot. It's too bad it didn't work out here for him but I agree, there's nothing worse than not going for what you really want. It'll suck to see him at Wisky (if that's true) but I hope he eventually ends his football career with no regrets.
Coffeyville is going to offer competition as well. My son was recruited to play there and we watched them play Butler CC in October. CCC had some huge kid from New York playing QB. He was about 6'5" and 230 pounds...looked like Vince Young, but looking at the roster, I don't see much behind him...only one other QB from a kansas high school. Butler had the kid that previously backed up Scheelhause from Illinois (Chandler Whitmer). Both QB's were absolute studs.
This is one of the very best juco's in the nation, but also has a reputation for being a pretty rough town and rough place to go to school.
