I will say, I wanted new blood. New ideas. That was my thought on the program at the time, which had nothing to do with Parker. I think some people so badly want new blood in the program, that they have written Parker off as not being a capable defensive coordinator. That’s not fair to Parker. What has he done to show he can’t do the job? There was last year, when Norm was in the hospital, and Parker and Wilson were splitting duties. The defense underperformed. Is that all we got? The situation was messed up to being with. So is that it? What I see now is a guy who has sent several players to the pros as the DB’s coach. A guy who has worked under the tutelage of a great defensive mind for past 13+ years. I’m not certain he will have success. I’m just not going to complain that he can’t get the job done until he gives me a good reason.

You can't base it all on one season in which things were being run by committee. He will run a version of Norm's defense, and should have comparable success, if we get some players in here.
