Re: Is LeVar the DL coach?

last thing on announcing that was talked about the DC position is to be announced the 1st of Feb, the posting for the assistant job was extended to the 10th. i have no clue as to why, but some are speculating that Morgan may retire and the posting is for that possibility

he was involved in recruiting only in the sense that he helped come up with the gohawks.com website (I think) and I believe he could meet with recruits when on campus (but not sure of that). He is a very impressive person, good with people and played for 7 years in the NFL so he is impressive in front of recruits, that's why they wanted to get him as a position coach so he could be out on the road, visiting kids and meeting coaches.

agreed. he was not on the road recruiting in his previous position as an administrative assistant, or whatever his title was.

i would say the reason they wanted to make him a position coach is because he is a good coach and the recruiting is just a benefit. is he impressive as a recruiter of course he will be, but if he wasnt a good coach they wouldnt put him in that position just for recruiting considering how important it is to our defense.
