Did I miss LeVar Woods getting promoted to DL coach? If it has not been announced, why would they send LeVar Woods and Darrell Wilson to visit Aaron Curry? Furthermore, this is the first time I have heard LeVar being so involved in recuiting.

He was named to the DLine once Kaz left, I think he held the position for the bowl game actually. Maybe not, can't remember when it happened.

It hasn't been announced officially but as mentioned, he is currently operating as such, and per a couple of recruits, was introduced as the DL coach.

LeVar has not "officially" been named the DL coach yet. Although I expect this to happen once the DC is hired.

I knew he was the intern coach for the bowl game, but I did not know if they took the interm label off of LeVar.

it's not been announced whatsoever. he was named DL coach for the bowl, that is it, officially i.e. to the public.

NO KF is pulling a fast one

A coach, whether temp or permanent, can recruit if they have passed the NCAA test for that purpose.
LeVar was announced as temporary coach to replace RK. He hasnt been announced as permanent choice but he probably will be. Maybe next Wed at the recruiting presser.

Guess it is possible they would ask him to coach a different position but that doesnt seem likely since he is apparently introduced to recruits as the DL coach.

he was interim dl coach and is expected to be officially announced with the dc announcement. he was involved with recruiting for his previous position so i think the only difference is that he tells the recruits he is a coach now.
