Why do Iowa fans have their panties in such a knot over who is hired as DC and how long it is taking? The fact of the matter is the defense is largely a reflection of the head coach. A bigger concern to me is who is doing the recruiting and what type of player they are looking for. Kurt Ferrets will announce his selection when he is ready.

Ferentz has pretty much hit some home runs with his ability to hire coaches over the years.

He has always been deliberate, done due diligence....

but I agree and suspect he has chosen to wait after the signing date, and wait for after the Super Bowl to free up a coach or 2... or has NO CLUE!
