The funny thing about KOK leaving is...

He's leaving to do for an NFL team what many mouth breathers around here claimed he didn't do worth a ****.

Clearly Kirk Ferentz is the awesomest person ever at getting someone a gig in the nfl whether as a player or a coach. Kirk I need a job baby, help a brutha out. I don't really need a job but if you could get me the announcing job for the 49ers I'd really appreciate it. Either play by play or P.A.

Re: The funny thing about KOK leaving is...

To be fair to KOK, I think he could have more success if he's allowed to focus solely on the QBs, rather than also running the offense, and vice versa. As an OC, I think he was perhaps too much of a square peg for a round hole. That doesn't make him a bad coach by any stretch. Just not the best fit for what KF wanted him to do.

He isnt calling plays for the Dolphins and managing the game offensively. Hes solely working with quarterbacks. Its a good fit for him.

Re: The funny thing about KOK leaving is...

That is why I don't bad mouth the Hawkeye coaches. They know much more than I will ever do. Only time I'm upset with coaches (not our staff at Iowa) but elsewhere is hands on athletes and treating them poorly and not like another individual. Obviously KOK knows much more than most think on the boards because according to most, he was garbage which is not the case.

Congrats KOK and Thanks for your time as a Hawkeye! Best of Luck!

In addition, the new head coach at Miami (Philbin) is an Iowa guy as well. I'm sure that had a factor in the decision.

Guilty as charged.......I am not sure what I am a mouth breather or what, but I thought they needed a go between.........between the QB and the OC.

point being is that people were constantly calling for iowa to have a qb coach assuming kok didn't know what he was doing in said position.

now him working solely with QBs is great given he doesn't have to call plays....

this just gets better all of the time...

I would wager he did not get a higher pay.

Dude, WTF are you talking about? Worst case scenario it is Matt Flynn, best case it is Peyton Manning.
