Re: Wednesday Press Conference

They've already told large donors re: D Coordinator. Much like they did re: KoK. This is a done deal for d coordinator.

I didn't say I knew, for a purpose, I just hear stuff.

Most of us appreciate your contributions, Golfer. Who have you heard from your donor friends?

Isn't some "crazy" hawkeye fan keeping an eye on the incoming flights to see who may be stepping off the planes? When a new DC is announced, won't they be there, or at least in Iowa City, to take questions?

I don't know 100%, so I'm not going to say. Also, I've been asked not to say what little I actually know.

Same deal on KoK. They said keep quiet, and at about 2PM, they said, you didn't hear it from me.

I'd rather keep their friendship and trust, than spread stuff on here.

We'll all know for certain, me included, soon enough.

I'm more excited about Soldier Field next Labor Day weekend.

You don't follow Iowa football, do ya? With what our staff is paid, I'd be surprised if the guy will have enough cash for the MegaBus if he is an outside hire.

Re: Wednesday Press Conference

Have the Miami Dolphins released what they are paying KoK? Serious question. I'm not sure we've ever heard that.

If we get that answer, it answers some other stuff.

As much as I hate to admit it, I believe Mr. O'Keefe 4 Prez is on to something with respects to compensation.

Not sure he is going the right direction, but I believe compensation, or lack of, has been an issue recently.

We'll know soon if it still is.

My speculation is that the two new coordinators will be significantly higher paid than their predecessors.

Understandable. Hope to be there as well for labor day weekend. My son will be nine months old so I'm trying to convince my wife that its a great idea...

I don't know that you ever get much official out of most NFL teams on assistant coach comp. You get it from many colleges because the subpar public schools have to disclose it under some state laws.

O'Keefe and Norm were basically working for free and if we want to keep the wheels on the bus, we can't afford to get outbid like we did on Alford.

Re: Wednesday Press Conference

Off topic, but get a babysitter and go. Even if your wife doesn't like football, downtown Chicago mostly clears out for Labor Day. If you live, and/or work, in downtown Chicago, you're probably at Lake Geneva this weekend.

This means rooms are less expensive. Back to your sales pitch to your wife. If you guys stay downtown, she'll have her pick of shopping, a dozen museums, and jazz and blues clubs, most within walking distance of your hotel.

If you're into drinking, plenty of places. If you're not, and I'm guessing you aren't, sell her on the museums, music etc. She'll have great time.

Hit the ignore button. That's what I do to folks who don't add anything, and are always insulting others.
