To Golfer
You seem to have good insight on what's going on in the Athletic Department, not only as a donor but as someone who knows other people who are bigger fish and have Barta's and Mason's ear. (I may know who you are but that's not important right now...)
I, for one, appreciate reading what you post, and hope you continue to share what you feel you can. There are obviously many currents impacting the flow of business right now, and it's helpful to learn what's swirling underneath the surface.
Thanks. Keep on keepin' on.

It would be comforting.

This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him. Since then a myriad of topics have ranged from the sensible (Who would win in jousting, Tony Mo or Moped Man?), to the ludicrous (STATE actually landing an attractive woman ). You sir, are a clonebag, attempting to bring us down! This will not be permitted nor tolerated. RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!

Re:To Golfer
Yes then we'd finally have a place to find out what's going in with the kid.

Re:To Golfer
If Golfer's sources have solid info, what's another Kozan thread among friends? :-)

I enjoy Golfer's posts, too. Good insights, and maybe he can give us an idea of what donors think of what basically amounted to a reshuffling of the staff after a two month wait.

Re: To Golfer
When I read the title of this post, I got scared. Then when I read that someone might know who I am, I got more scared.
Keep in mind, these guys, just like some of us, love to talk, and sometimes embellish. They are people, and huge Hawkeye fans. Some would say they have a sense of entitlement. I don't agree with that. There is a sense of ownership. I understand that. I have this also.
I hear things. They come true. How many of the details surrounding the events get exaggerated after getting passed down through a couple of different people? I'm not sure anyone knows, except the principals who were involved in the original conversations.

Don't be scared. After I posted, I realized that you probably are not who I thought you are as the person I have in mind would not have some of the access you appear to have. Still, enjoy reading your posts.

Golfer,
Is the DC who you thought it was going to be, or heard it to be I mean?

Re: To Golfer
I had thought is was going to be the guy from the Giants. I was told earlier this week it wasn't. The large donors were made aware yesterday morning.

Re: To Golfer
Why did the job posting state that the successful applicant must have NFL experience?

Re: To Golfer
I don't have any idea to be honest. I'm getting that Parker wasn't necessarily choice #1. I'm probably not going to know anything more until Friday. I'm personally more interested in what's going on for OC, and that's been kept pretty quiet. Once again, I don't think KF picks up the telephone and asks donors about the OC. In this case, I think the donors will be made aware the day before it gets leaked.
I guess maybe they tell the donors so it does get leaked early. I have no idea what their reasoning is.

So are you saying that you no longer think that "he" is Sally Mason?

Re: To Golfer
False, it never said must have NFL experience. It said experience in D1 OR the NFL.
Golfer, I to am very interested to see where the OC comes from.

Thanks for clearing that up, olddude. Did it say something about having prior D1 playcalling experience? That would include PP due to the '10 season. I know that criteria for job postings are sometimes written with a specific individual in mind. I'm wondering if that was thaw case here or if PP was a fallback hire.
