I'm with Mike (and John for that matter). I don't know why internal hires are being so highly criticized. Coach Parker is a young guy who is very well respected by his players. He has done more with less than any other position coach, in my opinion--we have four-star lineman commit all the time, but I can think of few four-star DBs who have come to Iowa. Heck, some of our best players have been two-stars at best (Sanders, Considine, Sash).

And on the offensive side of the ball, I think if Ferentz goes the Campbell to O coordinator, B. Ferentz to O-line, and Raih to QBs route, then we will have a very successful group of young coaches. Our system is fine--we just need better playcalling and game management.
