Re: McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted
I cannot help but wonder if McNutt hurt his draft position by returning for his senior season. Was he not projected as a late 3rd to early 4th round last year?

Re: McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted
Guys, come on, we had a perfectly good conspiracy theory going about Ferentz blacklisting DJK in the NFL, CFL, AFL and even MLS. Let's not try to undermine that.

Re: McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted
Maybe there was just an abundance of good receivers this year.
McNutt will get his shot to prove what he can do. He DID get drafted!

Re: McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted
There's a difference between a great college football receiver, and a great college football receiver who translates into a professional receiver. Marvin was a top 10 WR in college football last year. He could get away with his lack of explosiveness and overcome his lack of concentration drops and still produce at a high level. Those aren't as easily overcome in the NFL, thus he struggled to get drafted high.
DJK ****ed himself over by getting his nose into something he shouldn't have.

Response to Coker Thread hater:
This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him. Since then a myriad of topics have ranged from the sensible (Who would win in jousting, Tony Mo or Moped Man?), to the ludicrous (STATE actually landing an attractive woman ). You sir, are a clonebag, attempting to bring us down! This will not be permitted nor tolerated. RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!

Re: McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted
I for one thought Mcnutt made the right decision coming back because I did not think he was a polished route runner. The dropsies, the separation from defenders, being labeled a long strider all seem to come recently I guess coming back gave everyone a chance nitpick.
This could all be a moot point in a couple of years, he definitely landed with the right team, the Eagles really need a big physical receiver. Andy Reid and that coaching staff are the best in the business they know what they got in McNutt."The truth is like rain it really doesn't care who it lands on."--Eddie Griffin
"People say I have an agenda......naah, just opinions."--Scott Van Pelt

Re: McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted
I think this was a result of him coming out. His dropped passes and other issues didn't develop his SR year and his talent didn't really justify him coming out early especially having switched position mid-career.
I never saw McNutt, or DJK, as anything higher than a 4th round value, so I am not surprised by all of this as some people are.
But as you've pointed out, he's been drafted and now he has his chance to prove himself.
