Last I heard Sokol was going to redshirt and he and Rudock can battle for the starting role next year.

This article is stupid. I guess Baseball and Softball doesn't give you much to write about but this is a reach to keep college football relevant this time of year. What's next back up center ranks?

here is how you know this is pointless...the #1 guy on the list plays for a team that is .500 at best and if he started it wouldnt hurt them much and that is why he is #1. would jake starting hurt iowa? yes...but any team worth anything this is the case. rudock will take over as starter in a year and he will develop into a good qb...how good is the question to be answered. my hope is he will be a combo of stanzi and jvb. which would be the best qb in the ferentz era if it happens. if not i feel he still will have the skills to be similar to either one of those guys. which at the least means he will be solid.
