Barta: B1G pact with Pac-12 still on track
Football: Iowa AD said B1G pact with Pac-12 remains on track | KCRG-TV9 | Cedar Rapids, Iowa News, Sports, and Weather | Hawkeyes
From article:
IOWA CITY — Days after a report declared waning interest for a Big Ten-Pac-12 annual challenge, Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta said the collaboration remains on track between the leagues.
“I think it’s still a very strong possibility,” Barta told The Gazette. “There’s been a lot of discussions about how to implement it. We knew that when we agreed to do it back in December, we knew there was a lot of work to do to finalize all the details. There’s been a lot of discussion about the details.”

Re: Barta: B1G pact with Pac-12 still on track
Yes, it was the Wilner report that some PAC schools were complaining. The PAC has also been complaining about a 9 game conference slate, and they don't like having a 10th tough game. When a lot of D-I plays 8 conference games and an easy OOC schedule, I can see why they find 10 real games difficult.
I would guess that we don't see 12 PAC-B10 games every year, but something like 9.

A nine game conference schedule is the dumbest thing ever.
Purposely unbalancing schedules by tilting the single biggest factor in determining games (home field) is beyond stupid, its outright negligence on a commissioner's part.
