PSU loses first commit since sanctions

Ross Douglas decommits from Penn State - Football Recruiting - Midwest Region Blog - ESPN

    From article:

Four-star cornerback Ross Douglas (Avon, Ohio/Avon) decommitted from Penn State, he told ESPN.com in a text message.

Douglas visited Nebraska recently and will go to Wisconsin on Friday. Douglas was wavering and made the decommitment official shortly after the sanctions were released.

Bert will welcome him with open arms...and open wallet, no doubt.

You know the Jerry Maguire scene when he's desperately trying to call his clients before someone else at the firm can speak with them? And he always seems to be one call too late?? I'd imagine that scene is playing out in Bill O'Brien's office as we speak.

Why not? If Malik Golden decides to jet I'd assume he'd give us a good hard look. We've got some spots where guys could come right in and start.

Even if these kids that decommit don't come to Iowa, its still going to be awesome to watch them all abandon PSU.

I can understand decommitting from PSU. What I can't understand is verballing to them in the first place. Did Douglas think this was all going to blow over?

Think about it, these kids can go wherever they want now. Do you really think any would come to iowa when they could go to Mich or Ohio. St?

Here is a tweet from high 3* RB recruit Akeel Lynch, who picked PSU over Iowa last class...

Yeah I do, if they can play at Iowa vs sitting on the bench at Michigan.

Not if they abandon them to Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Michigan.
