Re: Prater/Hyde 2011 or Hyde/Castillo 2012
I will go a head and take what is going to actually happen and that would be Hyde/Lowery

I was not impressed with Prater last year so I will go with Hyde/Lowery. Castillo seems like a great kid and I will just leave it at that.

Lowery is going to be a stud. Period. If he wouldn't have gotten injured last year in camp he would have started opposite Prater and Hyde would've stayed at safety.

Hyde/Prater should have won, but Prater inexplicably was not a standout. So I'll take Hollywood Hyde/Club-arm Lowery.

I think Prater was overrated. I will take this year's combo.

A lot will depend on how things go with the defensive line.

Re: Prater/Hyde 2011 or Hyde/Lowery 2012
I'd probably take Hyde and Lowery. Prater spent a little too much time doing too much last year. He was still a good player, but he left himself out of position too often to be great in 2011.
Lowery may be the best corner to come to Iowa, but I've got to wait and see before I make judgement. IMO, it'd be pretty tough to supplant Spievey for that title.Response to Coker Thread hater:
This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him. Since then a myriad of topics have ranged from the sensible (Who would win in jousting, Tony Mo or Moped Man?), to the ludicrous (STATE actually landing an attractive woman ). You sir, are a clonebag, attempting to bring us down! This will not be permitted nor tolerated. RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!

^Yep, Prater made more than a few mistakes last year.

Hyde/Lowery/Miller seems really solid, if you ask me. I am also (very) high on Law, although he is obviously unproven. It's too bad our D-Line is as bad as it is, because I feel good about our secondary, along with Morris and Kirksey.

Prater sucked last year, but the DL could be so weak that it won't matter who we have in the secondary, much like last year.
