Open Practice: Mark Weisman FB

Sophomore Mark Weisman wins the award for most reps taken in yesterday's open practice and not did he take advantage of his opportunities. With a lot of our back field not participating in the practice Weisman found himself working at FB and RB with the 1s will the way to the 4s. He has a solid build, good hole vision and demonstrated great hands in the numerous passes thrown to him in the flats and being the line. He caught passes lined up as both FB and RB. Weisman could be a powerful utility player and open up a lot of short field options for us. It will be fun to see how he shows up this year. So long as they keep him listed as a FB we should be safe.

I "think" he means we need Rogers at FB more than we need Rogers at RB. But that's just a guess.

As it is, I think we can all but pencil-in Rogers as our one-back set guy. Maybe even "exclusive" one-back set guy?
