If Coker would have slimmed down about 10 pounds he could have been a force at RB. He was still a good player, and got extra YAC no other back on our team would have gotten. But he was not very fast to hit the holes and didn't have extraordinary vision (especially at noticing cutback lanes). He will be missed nonetheless.

It's easy to blame Kirk on this one, but we were pi$$ poor in the red zone that day and Meyer missed a bunch of FGs, not exactly Kirk's fault. But the coaches also had blunders in this game. Just a game that I couldn't even understand how we lost after it was over.

Of course there were multiple player screw-ups, there always are in any loss. The whole onside kick debacle was absolutely inexcusable, however, and falls directly on KF's shoulders. As did the decision to even attempt the first FG, when Iowa had 4th-and-goal on I believe the 2 yard line on the first drive of the game. Extremely questionable decision.

My lasting memory from this game was exiting TCF Bank stadium and as we got to the bottom of the stairs near the main Iowa section, all of the players parents that were in attendance had made a protective little flank around the Meyer family, I guess so none of the exiting fans would pop off about the missed FGs.

Just one of those random things you see at a game that sticks with you.
