It would make a lot of sense for the ACC to add Rutgers and Uconn too. Would make for a great basketball conference.

UConn yes, Rutgers though? I am sorry but Rutgers would be a reaching attempt to get NYC to care about this conference. They don't add anything in terms of athletic prestige.

Quality academic school, right in the conference footprint. What other schools would be better options?

ACC can pick 2 from this list: Buffalo, Central Florida, Connecticut, East Carolina, Rutgers, South Florida, Temple, West Virginia

I think WVU is headed to the SEC. That leaves UConn, Rutgers, and Temple as the most appealing options on the East Coast
