Big Ten has enough football powers: Why not build basketball, add StL, KC, NYC?

Of course, the Big Ten wants Notre Dame. I understand that, but I also believe that the Big Ten already has enough powerhouse football programs: Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, and Penn State are top 15, all-time programs. Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan State are also solid. Again, the Big Ten has enough football powers. Why not add Kansas, a top ten all-time men's basketball program, UConn, a perennial power in men's and women's basketball, and Mizzou, a state which borders 3 current Big Ten states. Missouri is also a state which brings excellent market share to the conference (KC and STL). Rutgers has also been mentioned as a possible Big Ten target for a few years, and current Big Ten Commish Jim Delany is from New Jersey.

Why? Because bb is a drop in the bucket compared to football.
