Don't really understand the outrage here.

The video of the promo is at the bottom of the article. Musburger and Herbstreit were promoting the network during a live ABC game telecast. Could it be possible that this might create and unfair advantage for Texas over the rest of the league? I didn't see any promos for any other team in the Big 12.

As a college football fan I hope The Dish Network picks this up and adds it to the package I am on. One more sports channel is always good IMO and perhaps it gets more ISU football games on the air.

The problem is that in essence ESPN is promoting Texas though the Longhorn Network. It's not like they are promoting a league or a conference, they are promoting one team. In essence ESPN is recruiting for Texas football.

Damn! Now Texas is going to get 6 star athletes instead of their usual 5 star athletes.

Do you really not have a problem with this or are you just making a funny?

I don't have a problem with it. Texas can only sign a maximum number of players every year and they are still going to get the best of the best out of Texas with or without this network anyway. This isn't like the 80's with unlimited scholarships.

A little bit of both.

Texas is not in the Big Ten so the more college football on TV the merrier. I really do not give a damn how good their recruiting classes are, just better athletes to beat up Iowa State with. It would still be kind of fun to see the B12 fall apart, the more money Texas keeps making with their LHN the more ****** off everyone else will be in that conference.
