Boise St

Had a conversation with a friend about Boise State's Academics. Do they have lower admission standards than most other schools? I tried finding their academic standards in comparison, but wasn't able to find much. Anyone know?

Much lower. I've been told their standards are comparable to a community college.

See, that's what I've been "told" as well, but can't find any articles of it online. Was hoping that someone had some real numbers on it.

That seems fairly low to me. Although the only place I applied last year was to Iowa, I know all the instate 4 year schools in Iowa are a little bit tougher than Boise is.

Iowa Universities use RAI Score which is a combonation of ACT/SAT, GPA, Class Rank, and Core courses completed.

Re: Boise St

But that chart shows the requirements for a typical applicant, I am sure they make exceptions for student athletes. Right?

Re:Boise St

Boise's overall graduation rate is one of the lowest in the nation. Seriously. Not just for athletes, but the whole student body.

They basically cherry pick good athletes from California that have no shot at P12 academics. Even with that, they still cheat.

I just wish someone would really take an objective look at this myth.
