Sal Sunseri is Tennessee's new defensive coordinator | al.com

He was the 2011 National Recruiter of the year. Looks like they hired a new offensive line coach that was the 2011 ACC Recruiter of the year as well.

Could be good hires if they can coach. Sal Suneri was Bama's LB coach so he is an unproven DC. He obviously saw the inner workings of running a top notch defense but game planning and calling your own plays is different story.

The hire is interesting because Tennessee and Alabama are huge rivals. When the SEC added A&M and were looking to add Missouri, the SEC pushed to put both in the West and move Auburn to the East. Alabama said they would vote against adding Missouri if that happened because it would have required dropping the yearly Tennessee game(Third Saturday In October).
