Joe Schad said it was because Thomas was going to be fighting for his starting spot with a young guy who's supposed to be really good. And in the comment he made, Kelly didn't seem to think Thomas was ready. He's pretty accurate, but he doesn't have the arm and he's never had to make NFL reads before. Newton at least had two of those skills coming in.

This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him.
