Hellickson

I'm not a huge baseball fan, but it appears from some Twitter reports that he won the AL Rookie of the Year. A fantastic feat if true.

Re: Hellickson

I've seen that he will be Baseball America's Major League ROY, but I haven't seen anything about the AL award. That would fantastic if true.

Re: Hellickson

I have no idea who this guy is or who he plays for, and I consider myself a baseball fan. MLB is the most poorly marketed organizations in America.

Really? Jeremy Hellickson is a Tampa Bay Rays RHP. 2005 second round pick out of Des Moines Hoover. He was an all-state baseball and basketball player in high school in Iowa.

In a lot of ways, the BA award is a "better" award to win because he encompasses both leagues. Also, well over 50% of the time, the BA ROY has won their league's official ROY award.

You don't follow it very closely if you didn't know who Hellickson is.

I don't know who the 3-man is on the Lakers. NBA is the most poorly marketed organization in America.

Re: Hellickson

Great way to start the year for Hellickson. In related news, the Rays' rotation is scary good.

his delivery looks deceivingly relaxed, so easy - almost nonchalant.
