Mark Brunell Has Lost a Fortune!

Unbelievable...He's going to have to schlep around from 9-5 like the rest of us after his NFL career.

stupid is as stupid does; I have no sympathy for a fool who has been parted from his money...especially $50 million.

The NFL should have created a golden parachute for all of the players. That way when they retire they can sit back and enjoy the other 50 years of their lives without working.

Now how is a guy supposed to manage his way through life's winding road?

I don't gamble - never in casinos, and almost never elsewhere with my money. But when I do decide to take on some risk, I do insane amounts of homework on the investment opportunity ahead of time.
Slow and steady wins the race, boat.

So you don't know who Hunter S. Thompson is, and aren't interested in his seminal literary works, but you're down with strip clubs and throwing cash around to hos?

So why retire? As long as the Jets are willing to keep paying him to be a backup then keep carrying a clipboard. You make more money as a veteran backup in the NFL than you do being a medical sales rep.

Because he can barely throw a football 20 yards at this point in his career.

Sad. Sounds like he actually had the right idea. Just very wrong execution. Wouldn't be surprised if an unscrupulous financial advisor was not involved.

While this is true, the Jets are still dumb enough to pay him for his long-withered abilities. If you're in serious financial trouble and you have the chance to keep cashing NFL checks, why would you willingly give that up to take a job that doesn't pay nearly as much?

This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him. Since then a myriad of topics have ranged from the sensible (Who would win in jousting, Tony Mo or Moped Man?), to the ludicrous (STATE actually landing an attractive woman ). You sir, are a clonebag, attempting to bring us down! This will not be permitted nor tolerated. RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!
