Bears and Marion Barber

Gotta belive they part ways after that display in 4th quarter today. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

If he was a white guy that prays a lot, the Bears would have won

Ran out of bounds when the game should have been over...then fumbled in OT when the Bears were in FG range

Re: Bears and Marion Barber

As a Lions fan I would like to thank the bears and Marion barber. Barber for coughing up the win and putting my lions in the postseason, and the bears for hiring Martz and Marinelli, two of the worst coaches in the history of football. It's bad when lovie dubie is the best coach on ur staff. Hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa lol. And of course, thank you lord Tebow, all of us in Detroit were rooting for ya. GO LIONS!!!!!!

With the exception of Martz, the Bears have an excellent coaching staff. They have a crappy GM.

I would like to add the illegal formation from last week that cost the Bears the game as well. Wide open and uncovered but can't line up correctly...time to go you ex goopher.

Timmy willed Barber to do the things he did. The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

I don't think they had any awful penalties today, and actually benefitted from the officials no-call at the end of the game. Considering half their defensive starters didn't play (including Suh) and they were on their 4th string rb I would say they did pretty well.

Re: Bears and Marion Barber

Barber did single-handedly give the game away AFTER it was 10-7, but it should have stayed 10-0. The prevent D the Bears went into with ~5 min. left was HORRIBLE. Even compared to other prevent defenses, it was soft.

I'm sure Lovie's plan was to NOT run out of bounds after that, but they also damn near gave up the onside kick. Just like the Hawks, they lost their nerve and got scared with a two-score lead and it cost them.

Re: Bears and Marion Barber

It is not Barber's fault. There is not much a team can do when God wants their opponent to win. It was obvious God changed the outcome of the game, how else do you explain Barber inexplicably running out of bounds, and fumbling the ball when the Bears got into feild go range? It was divine intervention. So, it would be very unfair for the Bears to get rid of him.

Re: Bears and Marion Barber

Yeah Barber should have have stayed in bounds but who the heck called that play? Why are we sweeping a power runner towards the out of bounds?

But the fumble in OT is all Barber. In a critical situation like that he has got to have both arms cradling that football. If he does that the Bears kick a field goal and game over anyway.
