Can the Vikings do anything right?

AP is coming off an injury but instead of sitting him the rest of the season, he tears both his ACL and MCL. And to top it off, they win the game today which eliminates them from having a chance at the 1st pick of the draft.

As a Vikings fan just when you think things cant get worse, they do

Miss out on a chance at Luck and also a chance at Kalil

Now they will win next week to **** things up even more. The Vikings are the Chicago Cubs of the NFL. I am about ready to quit being a fan

And they have a sic weapon in Percy Harvin and the kid goes just goes MIA at times. This franchise doesn't have a clue what to do.

The title of this thread is so easy to answer, it's impossible to answer. Nobody wants to be Super Duper Captain Obvious

This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him. Since then a myriad of topics have ranged from the sensible (Who would win in jousting, Tony Mo or Moped Man?), to the ludicrous (STATE actually landing an attractive woman ). You sir, are a clonebag, attempting to bring us down! This will not be permitted nor tolerated. RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!

Why should they start now? They've always been laughable, even in good years they always find a way to dribble it down their legs.

Not a Vikings fan, but that was a nasty hit (not dirty) on AP. When you see the opponents calling for the sideline, you know it's bad. Hopefully he can some back at full strength next year.

Just a freak play...Harvin tries to make a block and shoves the defender right into AP

Re: Can the Vikings do anything right?

AP is one of the last of a dying breed, the workhorse RB in the NFL.

The 2008 and 2009 seasons took a lot of tread off those tires. Nearly 400 touches in 2009 and over 400 in 2008, that catches up to RB's. He is still young and a chance to recover, but this isn't a walk in the park injury. I hate seeing it because since he is so fun to watch at times.

Re:Can the Vikings do anything right?

Officially rescinded my Viking fanship when they signed McNabb. It has felt good. I encourage everyone to try it.

No other franchise in all of professional sports has had more good teams without a championship. Worse than the Cubs, who usually are just bad.

I say teach your kid to be a Viking fan and they will learn to deal with disappointment at a young age.

Sadly this is quite true. I've been a fan my whole life and haven't seen them in the super bowl yet, despite their 15-1 season in '98 and the team 2 years ago that should've beat the saints by 20. Many bitter pills to swallow over the years but this one is the worst season I can ever remember from the Vikings.

I will say this though, I will never quit being a fan of a team because of a bad year, that's weak. However, if Zygi and the state can't work something out soon, they may pack up and move to LA and that may be what it takes to effectively end my interest in the NFL, outside fantasy football of course. ;)

Re:Can the Vikings do anything right?

Wow! What a pity party! I've been a Vikings fan for about forty years and although I agree they haven't always made the best choices, I'm not giving up on them. If you feel this way, please root for someone else. There are lots of other front runners out there you can join.

Re: Can the Vikings do anything right?

What do you mean Spliff? You expect the Vikings or any professional to just roll over and throw a game? If you had your way, the NFL would be nothing better than Pro wrestling...an act! So if I take my son, and drive 4 hours to see a game, my comment to him on the way home is...."That's the way it is...The Vikes had to throw the game so they can get the 1st player next year. They didnt try today for that reason"...
So Spliff...dum a#s..51,000 people go see the Vikes to assume they'll throw the game, paying the $$ they do. What a stupid freaking post!!
