pick your te

graham, vernon davis, hernandez, gronkowski, or any other.

te has been turned into the 3-4 olb of the offense. when you find the right guy they are an unstoppable force. these guys run like wrs and are built like d-ends.

give me any of the 4 above and others but if i had to pick i would take vernon davis. i wouldnt fault anyone for disagreeing with me here. i love the size and speed of all. i have to put gronkowski #2 he is davis with a better qb. then give me graham and round out with hernandez #4. many write ins would work - gonzalez is up there in age but can still play, clark the same, moeaki when healthy is great.

Re: pick your te

Good question, fov.
I'm a Patriots fan so I'm excessively biased...but Jimmy Graham is unreal.
I don't get the vernon davis love; the dude is moody and lazy, imo.
My list:
Gronk
Graham
Hernandez
MARV COOK
#44 Dallas Clark
Ditka
Mike Flagg

Gronk.
Had him in fantasy money gaining this year.
What a machine. Had the output of two decent WR's.

Re: pick your te

The TE position is still thriving, still.
You just can't cover those monsters.
Monsters. Yes.

Re: pick your te

davis hasnt lived up to expectations but really he has had alex smith as his qb a different oc every year of his career. i think harbaugh makes him into the player he is expected to be. think if hed had brady or manning or brees throwing to him. he was moody and lazy his first few years but this year he has been good. again i dont think you can go wrong with any of these guys.

Re: pick your te

Davis was very "moody" as you put it, to begin with anyways. He had some serious attitude/ambition issues in the beginning.

Re: pick your te

All the guys listed are great options, but I have really grown to love Jason Witten. I generally can't stand the Cowboys, but I think he's as good as it gets at the TE position; a sure-fire HOFer.

Witten is TOUGH.
Gates shouldn't have too many problems making that grade either.

Witten is terrifically consistent.
Never won anything, but a solid player nonetheless.

Disclosure: I hate the cowboys and they suck.

Re: pick your te

all these guys have this in common: put a db on them and they physically just box them out from the ball with size, put a lb on them and they run right by them.

the only way i can come up with to stop them is get 1 and convert them to defense to stop the others. and yet these guys dominate and few teams in ncaa realize this and dont utilize the te anymore.

He is tough. Remember the run after his helmet was ripped off?

Of course, he also tackled a cheerleader!

Re: pick your te

Davis has improved his blocking a ton this yr as well. As far as just an overall te with blocking included I'd say Davis cause look at how his team leaned more on the running game and he was a huge part of that. I would love to see a national poll on this type of question and see how it divides up. You really can't go wrong with the top 5 to 7 of em.

I'll take Tony Gonzalez - the best TE in the history of football and he's still doing it
