An odd signing, for sure.

But, the ALCentral looks to be pretty bad next year.

It was Detroit's for the taking before this signing. They may as well start building for the playoff run.

Wonder where Cabrera moves, 3B or DH now with Victor Martinez out. That's a lot of cash they just threw out there. Glad it wasn't the cubs.

That lineup is going to be scary, being able to rotate Cabrera and Fielder at 1B/DH. Throw that in with their pitching, and the AL gets even deeper. By themselves in almost any other year, the Angels, Tigers, and Yankees would be the OVERWHELMING favorite to win the pennant.

This thread was born from humble beginnings. A simple question was asked, and d-bag decided to answer it in a condescending manner. We then proceeded to chastise him. Since then a myriad of topics have ranged from the sensible (Who would win in jousting, Tony Mo or Moped Man?), to the ludicrous (STATE actually landing an attractive woman ). You sir, are a clonebag, attempting to bring us down! This will not be permitted nor tolerated. RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!!!!

The best part is fielder and pujols out of NL central. That is great news, though the cubs won't be able to do anything about it for a while.

Lineup will be scary offensively, and it will be just as scary defensively.

That's a lotta scratch to pay for a 1b / DH combo.

Fielder rated as one of the worst defensive 1b's last season. Shifting Miguel C. to third (which is a trainwreck waiting to happen) will only compound the problem.

Odd signing, but given Dombrowski's history in Detroit, he usually does at least one shocking thing during the offseason.

Yeah this is the one thing that sucks about committing to rebuilding this year. The NL Central looks winnable, the Pirates and the Reds are probably licking their chops.

one thing that did make sense on the move is the fact that his dad played there and it kinda makes some sense now lol

Don't forget about Texas. They're the 2-time defending AL Champ, have more youth than the other three, have the best overall player in the AL, made the biggest pitching move of the offseason, and, with Ogando moving back to the pen, have maybe the most complete team.
